Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a very advanced medical imaging technique.

It is a method of obtaining diagnostic information by scanning parts of the body, including the bones, joints, blood vessels, nerves, muscles and organs.

It uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves of special frequency to activate the body tissues. Different body tissues and elements emit different signals, which are detected by a coil located around the body part being examined. These signals are then processed in a sophisticated computer to generate the images which provide an accurate way to diagnose diseases of the brain, spine, skeleton, chest, abdomen, pelvis and blood vessels.
